TETRA调度台是为了方便轨道交通内部固定人员之间进行高效通信联络而设计的。根据场景不同分为行车调度台、环控调度台、车辆段调度台、停车场调度台等。
调度台提供控制中心调度员与列车司机、运营人员等无线用户进行无线通信功能，同时还提供相应的呼叫、广播、存储、显示、短数据传输等功能。
为实现列车调度可靠、高效的无线通信，行车调度台基于TETRA集群系统而设计，实现了诸如对列车的车次号呼叫、车组号呼叫等功能，以便于满足用户简单、快捷、安全的实际通信需求。
